Somehow last year’s debut album by Viagra Boys from Stockholm slipped through our fingers but since it’s nevert too late for good post-punk we’re changing that today… well, and might turn you into a believer as well. Just Like You is the perfect tune to do that as it delivers all the strength of the band that already made it into our Noise Attitude Playlist recently. It’s a cool and dirty anthem with a tempting groove and a raw yet captivating vocal performance by leading man Sebastian Murphy. He’s quite a character to watch as you can see in the accompanying music video. The ugly beauty in his voice makes you almost think Mark E Smith has returned from the dead. If IDLES was your favourite band in 2018, these guys might easily be the one for 2019.
