The Berlin-based artist Lucy Kruger drew us into her world of quiet and intimate composition with last year’s LP Sleeping Tapes For Some Girls, which was one of our favorites of 2019. A Winter Coat follows the serene and nocturnal vibe we are used to from the singer. The minimalistic single feels like a mellow hum and we can almost feel the warm breath of the singer as she gently exhales the vocals to a lazy guitar picking. It is the kind of song for midnights alone in your room – comfort and a warm thought for the days ahead. Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys remain a solid force when it comes to this sort of sound… even if it’s already spring time.
