Line & Circle – ‘Full Disclosure’

Last winter Ohio-born and Los Angeles-based four-piece Line & Cirlce warmed up my post-punk and 80s new wave loving heart with their great EP Vicious Folly. I quickly fell in love with their debut album – 2015’s Split Figure – right after that and have been patiently waiting for a new sign of music life ever since. Now, they finally return with a great new song called Full Disclosure. It spreads all the familiar melancholic notion that triggered me in the first place, reminding me of The Smiths and Death Cab For Cutie in their early pre-Major Label times. It also comes with a bittersweet story as the band explains since the song is about ‘the impossibility of moving on from a relationship when you have absolutely no idea why it ended in the first place.’ Yes, that’s the stuff great indie music anthems are made of. Line & Circle continue to cause excitement over here.
