I’ve been following Danish artist Thomas Bertelsen and his alter ego TOM And His Computer for a few years now and not only am I happy that he’s finally releasing his debut album in a few weeks but that every new release from the bearded Dane sees him and his musical vision move forward into fascinating territory. While the sound of his 2016 Small Disasters was still more electronic in its core he slowly moved toward more organic post-punk-infected territory with his latest releases like the previously released Future Ruins already showed. Now, Bertelsen once again teamed up with singer Roxy Jules for an even grittier new single called Puzzle. The psychedelic wave pop anthem was once again co-produced by the one and only Trentemøller (who also provided an official remix of the track this time) and that should be argument enough for you to give this nocturnal beauty a spin. Like a nightmare with a good twist this hypnotic tune really sucks you into the musical cosmos of TOM And His Computer. If you like what you hear, make sure to check out the full-length Future Ruins which arrives on October 16.
