There’s not much I can tell you about Mount Winslow yet because these guys just started and Burden Of Time is actually their first ever single. So, it’s best to let the music all the talking and in this case that is a really fulfilling thing to do because it’s one hell of an impressive debut release. The tender melancholic piece shows the band’s musical skills in a nonchalant way, reminding us of Ben Howard and Coldplay‘s early days (aka the good ones). I know the whole ‘indie folk’ label has been corrupted by countless Mumford & Sons clones (and Mumford & Sons as well) by now but trust me, these guys are way better, more grounded, more subtle and heavily old-fashioned in a really good way. Mount Winslow – keep that name on your radar because we surely will. Their debut EP is also named Burden Of Time and arrives on March 15.
