As the longtime dedicated follower of NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION you are probably aware of our ongoing love for Cologne-based electronic duo COMA, right? We still have precious memories about that city trip we once took with them and we’ve been waiting patiently for a follow-up to 2015’s This Side Of Paradisealbum. Now, Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad are officially back with their first new piece of music in four long years. Snurrebassen is the duo’s first release on their new label City Slang and a first teaser of their new album. It’s a slow-grooving trippy piece of retro-infected synthpop, merging all of COMA influences into one piece of hypnotic techno-pop. You can sense the minimal days of Kompakt Records right here as well as the 1980s and 1990s. It’s the perfect tune for the current summer season, don’t you agree?
