Noga Erez Battles Rejection and Toxic Relationships on “You So Done”

The song You So Done by Tel-Aviv based singer Noga Erez is what she called “the most personal” to date. The industrial and distorted instrumentation screeches your eardrums and the music video is an equally chilling affair. The artist and producer plays the pilot of a robot arm which seems to simulate the events at a crime scene. “The robot in this video is actually not the violent character. Its job was to portray the act of violence through transferring the moves from an unseen character and helping them come alive visually,“ Noga Erez says about the video. The robot is jerking the musician around but the lyrics speak of different kinds of violence like self-destruction in the wake of rejection and toxic relationships. You So Done is a dark confessional piece written from the depth of an aching artist’s soul.
