After plenty of previous encounters with talented British five-piece Phoria (they also produced a guestmix for NBHAP around four years ago) it’s great to finally have them back with their first proper release since 2016’s satisfying debut LP Voilition. The group freshly released a new double-single – When Everything Was Mine/ RROTOR – which continues their distinctive walk between electronic complexity and gentle acoustic songwriting. With every release it feels as if Phoria are getting closer to the sound they were actually always destined to creatve. When Everything Was Mine is a pretty impressive return, a tender and emotional ride that carries the listener to highest heights. With songs like this we surely can’t wait for their second full-length.
