Throughout the past year Swiss ambient post-rockers HOLM have been constantly releasing new songs (like the gentle Flickering Leaves we introduced in July) which all marked tiny steps towards their second studio album In Gardens which is set to arrive on January 21. The title-track is one of the record’s final puzzle pieces we’re getting and another strong musical argument to keep the trio on your radar. On the gentle instrumental piece Alessandro Giannelli (drums), Dimitri Käch (guitar) and James Varghese (bass) deliver five and a half minutes of tender meditative contemplation. In Gardens is a much needed call for calmness in troubled times and we could all use a tune like this right now, if you ask me.
